Vibia Plusminus Flexible Lighting System

The idea is simple and unlike anything else on the market. A woven band carries the current, and the fittings attach anywhere along its length. There is no fixed spacing to design around and no rail to align with the architecture.

Because the band is textile, it can be run in ways rigid track cannot: stretched across a room, dropped in loops, taken around a corner or along a curve. The layout becomes part of the design rather than a constraint imposed on it.

The fittings can be moved later. A dining table that shifts position, a room that changes use, a display that needs relighting, all are handled by repositioning along the same band instead of by new wiring.

Two completed European projects, in Italy and in Bulgaria, show how far that freedom can be taken in practice, in spaces where a conventional track layout would have had to fight the architecture.
