Gople is an Artemide pendant made of hand-blown glass, produced using an old Venetian technique in which white glass gradually turns into crystal glass during blowing, so every piece is unique. It was designed by BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group.
It is used above a dining table, a kitchen island, beside a bed and in a hall, singly or in a group. The glass is shaped to screen the source and lets direct light through its transparency.
Technical: LED source 17 W, 903 lumens according to Artemide data for the bronze version; dimensions: height 420 mm, diameter 210 mm, total height with cable up to 1720 mm; IP20 for indoor use.
For the protective clear coat a solid paint with up to 5% solvents (compared with 75% for traditional products) is used, so the process generates very little waste and the finish stays resistant over time. The version offered is GOPLE S LUC + BRONZE, in bronze. The bronze, silver, copper and blue finishes are produced by vacuum metallisation of the glass, which Artemide describes as a clean and sustainable process.
