Kurage table

Kurage is a Foscarini table lamp developed together by the Italian designer Luca Nichetto and the group Nendo of the Japanese architect Oki Sato. In Japanese Kurage means jellyfish, and with its lightness the lamp creates the illusion of dancing through the sea. The diffuser is washi paper, made from specially treated mulberry tree fibres, resting on a transparent structure designed to be shadow free.

The frame and legs are ash wood, the socket sits in a white ceramic holder and the switch is on the transparent cable covered in a fibre sock. It sits well on a chest of drawers, a desk or beside an armchair.

Technical: one E27 source up to 20 W (LED retrofit or fluorescent), dimensions 33.5 × 49 cm; IP20 for indoor use. Kurage Table is made in one size and in white (code FN258001_10).
