Pipe floor

Pipe Floor is an Artemide floor lamp with a single tubular steel structure: the lower part is rigid and the upper part bends, so the head can be pointed where the light is needed. It was designed by the architectural duo Herzog & de Meuron.

The head has an aluminium reflector with randomly placed holes of different sizes, so the head looks as if it were studded with points of light. It is used beside a reading armchair, next to a desk, in a corner of a living room or in a work space.

Technical: LED source 27 W, 2700 K (the PIPE LED F 2700K version), 1763 lumens; dimensions 210 × 2200 mm; IP20 for indoor use. The base is soft-touch painted steel, the stem is covered with anti-yellowing silicone and the diffuser is transparent rubber-effect polycarbonate. A touch dimmer is on the steel.

Pipe is a family: besides the floor lamp there are also a pendant and a wall-ceiling version. The internal reflector of the LED version replaces the former fluorescent tube, with lower consumption.
