Gerrit is a table lamp modelled on the classic banker's lamp, reduced to clean lines and current technology.

Its place is on a desk, a counter or a living-room sideboard. The light is directed downwards into a pool on the surface, so it does not glare or spill across the room — good for working in the evening.

It switches on and off with a wave of the hand in front of the sensor, without touching a switch.

The body is aluminium with an anodised gold finish, and the source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or replace.

The base is heavy and stable, so the lamp stays put even as papers and a laptop move around the desk.

The anodised gold finish does not change colour over time and needs no care beyond a wipe with a soft cloth.
