Copycat

Copycat is a Flos table lamp by Michael Anastassiades from 2015. Two spheres touch: the larger one is hand-blown opal glass and gives a soft, diffused light, while the smaller one, in its “shadow”, is a solid aluminium ball machined from a single piece, with an integrated LED source that lights the whole glass. In the gold version the aluminium is coated in 24-carat gold.

It sits well on a sideboard, a shelf or a bedside table, where both spheres can be seen. The dimmer is on the cable.

Technical: integrated LED 16 W, 900 lm, 2700 K; weight 3.6 kg; IP20, for dry indoor use. Four finishes of the smaller sphere are offered: gold (F1952044), copper (F1952015), black chrome (F1952030) and polished aluminium (F1952050); the finish you choose changes the picture, code and price.
